Privacy Policy

Planora · Last updated 22 September 2026

Planora helps a group of friends agree on when and where to meet. This policy explains exactly what the app stores, why, who else can see it, and how to delete it.

The short version. We collect only what the app needs to work. There is no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing. You can delete your account and all of your data from inside the app at any time.

Who we are

Planora is an independent app. For any privacy question, or to request deletion of your data, email xanderkamixd@gmail.com.

What we collect

InformationWhy
Email address To create your account and sign you in.
Display name and avatar colour So the people in your plans know who you are.
Plans you create or join: the title, type, and chosen place This is the content of the app.
The times you mark yourself free To work out when everyone can meet.
Your votes To decide the time and the place.
Messages you send in a plan's chat To show them to the other people in that plan.

Our hosting providers keep standard technical logs, which can include IP addresses, for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.

What we do not do

Information stored on your device

Planora keeps three things in your device's local storage:

These stay on your device, are never used for tracking or advertising, and are cleared when you sign out or delete the app.

Getting the app, and this website

Planora is downloaded directly from this site rather than from an app store, so no store account is involved and nobody is told that you installed it. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds nothing from anyone else. Downloading the app does not create an account or send us anything about you. That only happens when you sign up inside the app.

Because there is no store, there are no automatic updates: a new version means visiting this site and installing it over the top. Nothing about your device is checked or reported in the meantime.

Who else can see your information

Other people in a plan can see your display name, avatar colour, the times you marked yourself free, your votes, and your chat messages in that plan. They cannot see your email address, or anything from plans they are not part of.

We use a small number of service providers to run the app:

ProviderWhat it does
Supabase (hosted on Amazon Web Services) Stores the database and handles sign-in. Your data is held on servers in Japan.
Vercel Hosts the invite links and this page. It does not receive your account data.
Google Only if you choose “Continue with Google”. Google tells us your email address and name. Google's own privacy policy applies while you are on their sign-in page.
Photon / OpenStreetMap Searches for places. Searches are sent from our server, not from your device, so the map provider never sees your IP address or who you are.
Anthropic Writes the short confirmation message posted to a plan's chat. Only the plan's title, agreed time and chosen place are sent, never your chat messages, email, or name.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account it is removed immediately and permanently (see below). Backups and technical logs held by our providers may persist for a short period before being overwritten in the normal course of their operation.

Deleting your account

Open Planora and go to Profile → Delete my account. The app tells you what will be removed before you confirm.

Deleting your account permanently removes:

This cannot be undone. If you cannot access the app, email xanderkamixd@gmail.com and we will delete your account on request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to receive a copy of it. You can change your name and avatar in the app at any time, and delete everything as described above. For anything else, email us and we will respond.

Children

Planora is not intended for children. You must be at least 13 years old to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted. Access to plans is enforced in the database itself, so a person who is not part of a plan cannot read it. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not collect more than the app needs, which limits what could be exposed.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.
